Ministers of the Eucharist

The parish has approximately 45 Ministers of the Eucharist. This group assists with the distribution of the Eucharist at all masses and also bring the Eucharist to the sick/elderly in their homes. On the 1st Friday of every month Fr. Jim and Fr. Peter bring the Eucharist to the sick and housebound. Following a period of preparation there is a ceremony whereby newly trained Ministers are commissioned and join the existing group of Ministers. In more recent times the Ministers have begun bringing the Eucharist to the sick in their homes directly from the Sunday Masses. This is very much appreciated by the sick and their families and also reassures them of the support and prayers of the Parish.
